Hello Readers!

My name is Anita Wladichuk, and this is my Substack newsletter "The Ghostly Owl"!

I am the author of "Anastasia and The Ghostly Owl (The Choice Was Hers)". It is a story about child abuse. But I wrote it in a very poetic way, using metaphors. The painful details are there for the reader to discern quietly and thoughtfully. The story is about hope in the face of adversity written simultaneously. It has received very good critical acclaim.

I need a venue such as Substack to share other writings. I write poems, articles, and sometimes I just rant!

One of the first things I am going to do is serialize my second book, “Anastasia and The Ghostly Owl (The Sequel)". "The Choice Was Hers" is about Anastasia's horrific childhood. It is metaphorically and inspirationally written. "The Sequel" is about Anastasia’s journey as a confused teenager moving forward into an independent adult. At times it is raw, but once again this story is inspirational.

Wouldn't it be nice if life served up a brief respite from struggle? Well ... yes, it would. Of course, we all know that's not the way things work. In "The Sequel," I am continuing to write in my unique style. It's about a woman meeting life, encountering hardship, and always looking towards the light. I want it to lift people up.

For only $5 per month, you can receive some quality writing and some thoughtful insights. I'll publish some articles, a poem, a chapter, a comment, or a rant at least once a week.

Not only that, but anyone who subscribes for 4 months (a whole $20) will receive the e-Book version of "Anastasia and The Ghostly Owl (The Sequel)" when it is fully typeset and produced. Expected not long after the 20th chapter is released here on Substack.

My motto has always been, “I still smile”. Throughout the many hardships on my journey, I have maintained holding on to this motto!

Yes, I am a writer. It would be great if you would contribute to my passion. I look forward to interacting with you!

Thank you so very much!

Sincerely

Anita
