On April 19, 2024, I wrote the 1st Round Assignment of the 5th Annual 100-word Microfiction Challenge. Five thousand four hundred fifty-two writers participate in 92 groups, with approximately 59 writers per group.
I was given the following criteria to use in my story:
Genre: Sci-Fi
Action: Unbuttoning
Word Assignment: Digest
Time: 24 Hours
Maximum Length: 100 words
This is what I wrote:
A Woman and a Python
Imagine a stunning woman by the beachfront, wearing a wet, delicate white lace camisole. She holds the second button at the bottom of her blouse, which is left provocatively open, revealing the top of her black panties and her shapely belly button, adding to the allure of her appearance.
Behind her, tall grass sways gently in the breeze.
The woman is admired for her appearance while a gigantic snake slithers beside her, its menacing presence unnoticed. Her admirers ponder if she is unbuttoning or buttoning up her camisole.
Unexpectedly, the woman vanishes into the snake's hungry jaws to digest slowly.
