Hello Reader!
This is another poem I wrote in response to my feelings about the Residential School tragedy unfolding here in Canada. I am making the poem free to everyone, but please consider a subscription to help me continue my writing. Subscriptions are only $5 per month for quality writing! Thank you very much!
Death Goes On
Chaos and protests continue as more unmarked graves are revealed.
Statues and churches are vandalized, painted with red hand prints spreading their smalls fingers pointing upward symbolizing a cry for help.
Several statues are painted with red hand prints, and many statues are also knocked down to the ground.
Several churches are vandalized, painted with red hand prints, and some churches are burnt down to the ground.
Forest fires are raging.
The heat will not let up.
The sorrow and the grieving will not stop until all the unmarked graves and the children’s spirits are set free.
Only then can healing begin for those left behind.
Only then will the truth come out.
The deadly silence has been broken and the ugly, evil secrets have been exposed.
Silence and secrets go hand-in-hand. They are both deadly.
Take these little ones into your arms now, Jesus and hold them tightly!
In my first book, “Anastasia and The Ghostly Owl (The Choice Was Hers!)” published in November 2005, I write “With her background, her experience, and her knowledge, Anastasia was confident that she had the skills, the empathy, and the energy to make a difference in a child’s life. She once read that “our children are our future,” and Anastasia took this to heart to build her own foundation for working with kids.”
