Hello Reader!
This is a poem I wrote in response to my feelings about the Residential School tragedy unfolding here in Canada. I am making the poem free to everyone, but please consider a subscription to help me continue my writing. Subscriptions are only $5 per month for quality writing! Thank you very much!
The Wakening
The gates of Hell have woken.
Over a thousand unidentified and unmarked graves have been discovered.
First 215 unmarked graves, then 871, followed by an additional 182.
This is only the beginning.
The lifeless children lied trapped in darkness in the ground, their spirits unable to be set free.
The deadly silence and secrecy of the darkest and most evil deed of mankind has now been revealed.
Those who put these innocent children into darkness were clothed in God’s cloth like wolves wearing sheep’s clothing snatching, starving, torturing, beating, raping, and murdering them.
The children’s cries went unheard except within the walls of the residential schools they were forced to live in.
The thousands of these unmarked graves have been found. The souls of these children will soon be set free so they can become the true angels of the Lord they were meant to be.
The Ghostly Owl grieves for the loss of all these innocent children and the communities of the Indigenous people because she feels that she failed in watching over and protecting all her children in the world.
The gates of Hell have woken.
And, this is only the beginning!
The Vancouver Art Gallery is now adorned with children’s teddy bears, shoes, slippers, clothes hanging, and a huge banner.
This is a very emotional symbol of the horrific Residential School tragedy recently discovered in Canada which has resulted in many people stopping in disbelief to pray for these children.
